Review:HW 129 #1-3 Magnetic Inductance & Circuits
Continue: Development of RCL Circuits & Inductive Reactance XL
Announce: Quiz#33 - RCL Circuits for Tuesday, May 4
Assign: HW 130 #4-7 Inductance & Impedance
Proficiencies addressed:
40. * Demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between magnetic fields and moving charged particles. (CCCS#5.7)
41. * Demonstrate the ability to predict both the direction and magnitude of the magnetic fields near wires, coils, and solenoids using either the Biot-Savart Law and/or Ampere's Law. (CCCS#5.7)
42. * Demonstrate the ability to calculate magnetic flux and to use both Faraday's Law and Lenz's Law to predict the resulting EMF within an appropriate conducting element. (CCCS#5.7)

Review:   APC 2008-2009 FR & 1984 MC
1. Individual students will put a single problem on the board for homework credit.
2. The student putting the problem on the board will then present the problem to the class answering all questions and emphasizing the physics of the problem [15 pts]
3. All other students will submit one randomly selected problem for homework credit [15 pts]
Assign:
APC 1984-1985 [magnetism] FR & 1988 MC for Monday, May 3
APC 1986-1987 [magnetism] & 1993 MC for Friday, May 7
Important Reminder! All Answers in the multiple choice test MUST be accompanied by clear justification! No reason, no credit! All free response answers must be accompanied by the physics principle used in developing the solutions.
